NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – GOR Mahia have been made to wait a little longer to celebrate their Kenya Premier League (KPL) crowning.

A goalless draw at second-placed Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru deferred the celebrations.

However, they have a chance of popping the champagne on Wednesday when they host 11th placed Sony Sugar at the Nairobi City Stadium.

Gor will be crowned champions if they secure any result except a draw, which will give them an unassailable lead with four rounds of matches remaining.

Meanwhile, Muhoroni Youth continued with their fine form in the KPL after beating Mathare United 1 – 0 Afraha Stadium over the weekend.

In matches played on Sunday, Nakuru All Stars thrashed KCB 5 – 2 while Sony Sugar edged Sofapaka 2 – 0 at Awendo Green Stadium.

Rejuvenated Bandari beat Tusker 1 – 0 at Mombasa County Stadium while AFC Leopards recorded a slender 1 – 0 victory over Western Stima at Kasarani  Stadium.
