Mogadishu blast claims nine

NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – SUSPECTED Al Shabaab suicide bombers on Tuesday killed nine people and injured dozens others in Somalia’s terror-prone capital Mogadishu.

The terror group’s spokesman, Abdiasis Abu Musab, claimed the organisation’s responsibility.

The Al Shabaab Islamic militant terror group is fighting to remove the new Somalia government accusing it of supporting activities of the Western governments in the Horn of Africa.

Police confirmed the latest attack by telephone. They were working closely with Somali government forces and the African Union Mission to Somalia (AMISOM) to address the situation.

To date, the Al Shabaab, which is aligned to the Islamic Al-Qaeda jihadists, has claimed more than 3 000 lives with more than 500 000 people displaced from their homes in Somalia.
