KIGALI, (CAJ News) – THE just-ended Rwanda International Trade Fair has been hailed as a success following an increase in the number of exhibitors.
According to organisers of the event, Private Sector Federation (PSF), the 18th edition of the fair saw the participation of 408 exhibitors, up from 307 last year.
PSF Chairman, Benjamin Gasamagera, expressed excitement at the development.
“The visitors said they were satisfied with the products showcased, while several foreign exhibitors said they are willing to open businesses in Rwanda,” he said, adding that those looking to open businesses in Rwanda will get all the support they need,” said Gasamagera.
Trade and Industry Minister, Francois Kanimba, also lauded the growth of the annual exhibition over the years.
“It presents opportunities for more synergies among firms and government to create more jobs,” said Kanimba.
Meanwhile, MTN Rwanda was named the overall best exhibitor.
Kenya was recorgnised as the best foreign exhibitor while Pakistan and Egypt emerged second respectively.
