At the fourth edition of the awards held in Johannesburg, South Africa, MTN won in the Most Admired brand (Telecommunications), Most Admired Media brand, Most Admired Brand of African Origin, Most Valuable brand and the Strongest brands categories.
It also won the biggest accolade of the evening, Africa’s Brand of the Year.
Larry Annets, MTN Chiefs Marketing Officer, was elated at the accolades haul.
“We are grateful to our clients for the continued support,” he said upon receiving the grand award.
The Brand Africa 100 is said to be the most comprehensive pan-African survey, valuation, ranking and celebration of the best African and non-African brands in Africa.
More than 6 000 respondents around the continent were surveyed for the accolade.
Founded in 1994 in South Africa, MTN’s footprint spans 21 countries, connecting over 200 million people across Africa and the Middle East.
