NAIROBI, (CAJ News) – THE European Union is making available more than KSh10 billion (€94 million) to support Kenya’s agricultural small-holdings, water infrastructure and legal empowerment.
This emerged after European Commissioner Neven Mimica and Kenya’s President Uhuru Kenyatta met in Nairobi to discuss enhancing the EU-Kenya international partnership.
In the presence of the President, Mimica and Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary to the National Treasury, Henry Rotich, Kenya and EU signed three major Financing Agreements.
Kenyatta and Mimica also participated in the opening day of the African, Caribbean and Pacific Nations-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly held in Nairobi this week.
It brings together 450 parliamentarians from the regions.
